William Kentridge’s “More Sweetly Play the Dance”

Ruti Direktor, curator of contemporary art at the Tel Aviv Museum, presents the video work “More Sweetly Play the Dance” (2015) by the South African Jewish artist William Kentridge. An epic procession of human existence, the dance of death of the Middle Ages, an African funeral, a convoy of refugees, “Death Fugue” by the poet Paul Celan, the wanderings of Sukkot, and the Torah scrolls of Simcha Torah.
