Yom Kippur

Do not hide from your own flesh

Rabbi Elhanan Nir

“To walk in peace / Without fear … / Without pathetic bitterness towards the nearest of the near” (Zelda).

While Rosh Hashanah deals with distant, large, global expanses – Yom Kippur challenges the local space, our charged everyday attitudes “towards the nearest of the near”. A voyage among the stories of the sages and the doctrines of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov as a social and personal preparation for this day.

Rabbi Elhanan Nir is a teacher at the Siach Yitzhak yeshiva, editor of the Shabbat supplement of the Makor Rishon newspaper, a poet, and a writer.
